available records Alfred Ewing is beleived to be
the soldier on Tupton's Memorial. It has not
been possible to his WW! service records at
this time. By 1911 he had been widowed. Following his death in 1920 he left £52 5s & 6d to his daughter Doris. Tupton's Memorial was not errected until 1921, and his brother still lived in the village. He may have been included due to his previous military service. |
