Heber was named after
the horse race 'The Heber Handicap', as the
family were keen on horse racing His
occupation was a miner. He enlisted in June
1916, but was not called up until 16 July 1918
due to having a reserved occupation. Embarked to France on 8 November
1918. Contracted influenza on 12 November
1918. Died on 14 November 1918. |
